So today I'm taking it easy... well, kind of. I did list about 4 items on Ebay.... I'm trying to liquidate a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of. But other than that I'm still on that intense reading program :)
This morning after I woke up I started one of the latest books I'm reading: The Soul of Money by
Lynne Twist
It's been very informative so far... and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to gain a new view of money. The first chapter has introduced me to a native tribe in the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest.
It really makes you think. According to the story so far, these people live solely on "Reciprocity."
They are not in need of nor do they ever use money. At least, they never did until they came in contact with western civilization via missionaries. One of their younger warriors named Chumpi was chosen to come to America and learn English and study in the states. Unsurprisingly, the first thing he is introduced to is the language of money... I'm not sure how this book will turn out, but I can tell you that it's already given me an important lesson that we would do well to remember: Money is man-made.
