Hey guys,
so sorry I haven't posted in a while.... been really busy.....
So I just started a new book called The Millionaire Mind, written by the New York Times bestselling author Thomas J. Stanley in 2000, this book is really interesting. I had briefly read through his other bestseller The Millionaire Next Door earlier in the year..... this one covers a few things in more detail like:
What success factors made them wealthy in one generation?
What part did luck and school play?
How do they find the courage to take financial risks?
How did they find their ideal vocations?
What are their spouses like and how did they choose them?
How do they run their households?
How do they buy and sell their homes?
What are their favorite leisure activities?
(taken from wikepidia)
The part I wanted to share with you though, and found most interesting was-
"It's important for America's youth to discover that millionaires, even most decamillionaires, don't depend on consumer goods to enjoy life."
-The Millionaire Mind
what else have I learned so far?
Apparently, there are more underlying reasons for wealthy people to play golf than most of us realize... I guess I'll have to start playing:)
Here's another interesting fact: over more than half of the millionaires surveyed said that they watch their kids and grandchildren play sports in their leisure time... so I guess I'm already doing something right:)
just thought I'd share these cool facts...
